On this episode my good friend Dr. Johanna "Jo" Havemann stopped by, met her when she was working with IPACC and helping out at the Global Indigenous Youth Caucus in 2010-ish.
She's a trainer & consultant in Open Science Communication with a background in Evolution and Developmental Biology. Her work experience is super expansive, it covers NGOs, a science startup and international institutions including the UN Environment Programme.
Nowadays she focuses on digital tools for science and her label Access 2 Perspectives, and get this....she's fascinated by inter-species communication. Enough for us to talk about, the questions she answered:
How can we better learn or communicate with the animal world?
Why is there a gap between researchers and Indigenous Peoples, and how can we overcome the gap?
What do you want to be remembered for the most?
