011 | Why we need Human Rights and Indigenous Rights safeguards in Article 6

This and the next set of episodes will probably be focused on Human Rights and Indigenous Peoples rights in climate action as the 25th session of the UNFCCC Conference of Parties - or COP25 - is about to start in Madrid. For context a brief throwback to COP24 in Katowice where we did an "action" at the entrance of the negotiations zone raising awareness for safeguards in Article 6. I could type out the the background of it but thought it would be much better to include it in the episode so you'll get a longer introduction than you are used to. The action is moderated by India Logan Riley (still waiting to get her on the podcast) and Michael Charles (listen to the previous episode) and a number of indigenous representatives from all over the world passed the mic and shared their thoughts.
